Biodiversity Conservation Award 2020 – Chicalim BMC

Chicalim BMC was recognized for its exemplary contribution to biodiversity, ecology and environmental conservation, including preparation of the village's People's Biodiversity Register (PBR), conservation and restoration efforts for the endangered Window-pane Oyster (Placuna placenta), collaboration with local institutions, and encouraging young people to participate in biodiversity conservation.
